Slow start, but a solid win for the D's & E's

A good win for the D'S & E's on Saturday, but true to form we started off slow in the first quarter, sloppy passing, all channeled down one side, resulting in the ball going off court on most occasions. By the end of the quarter we were leading by just one goal.

We went into the second quarter knowing we needed to stop making silly mistakes. We were warmed up and started to show some nice periods of play, moving the ball nicely up the court. There was some mid court drama with myself (Sarah m) taking a tumble, resulting in a bleeding arm and two time outs for new plasters. By the end of the second quarter we were on top of the game winning 22 - 7, only allowing the opposition to get one goal, highlighting our solid defence in the D (Emily and Harriet!) who continued to add pressure on the opposition throughout the match.

In the third quarter and fourth quarters we were really playing nicely, there were some great interceptions from Chloe, which we managed to convert into goals, with Kerry working well around the D and feeding some beautiful ball into the shooters who were on top form (Brigitte and Nat). Despite myself being awarded POM, i should give a special mention to Nat who barely missed a shot! We finished the match 48-18.
