WNC 'E' -v- Alpha D - 28-38 (by Gayle)

With the majority of our team being on holiday this week, we were lucky that Hayley, Fern and Kristen from the D's were able to help us out, thank you girls.

From the outset, it was a tight match. Alpha D's got off to the stronger start scoring the first couple of goals. We were making basic errors that Alpha were able to capatalise on. However as we started to gel as a team, we were able to minimise these errors and start to work the ball down the court.

The third quarter saw us rally back, some fantastic defensive work allowed us to put pressure on Alpha, forcing them to make errors. Good movement down the court and great support play, allowed us to feed the ball into the circle. Some great shooting saw us win the third quarter and bring the score within 7 goals.

Unfortunately we flagged in the fourth quarter, which allowed Alpha to take control again and ultimately take the win. It was a close match and good netball was played by both teams. It was also good to see E team members putting skills learnt in training into a game environment, though communication on court remains a key area we need to work on.
