WNC 'E' vs Alpha D 31-29 (by Gayle)

It was a cold and early start for the E's this week and with Alpha D's sitting above us in the league we knew it would be a tough match. We started off the first quarter making too many mistakes and Alpha took an early lead. But we settled into our rhythm and started to take control of the game, which meant we finished the first quarter ahead.

The second quarter we came out strong, with some great defending and hard, flat passes down court. Vicki was on fire at GS and was scoring goals from all round the D. Half time score 16-12 to wandsworth.

The third quarter saw us maintain our composure and conversion rate. However in the fourth quarter Alpha came out fighting hard. A couple of turnovers from Alpha saw a nail biting finish. But we dug deep and with some well timed interceptions, we held on to take the win. Great team effort, well done E's!
