WNC E -v- HSBC - 43-15

A disappointing loss for Wandsworth E against HSBC. We had a wobbly start going 9-3 down in the first quarter. It was evident that this was never going to be an easy match against an obviously well gelled HSBC.

Some good defensive work in the second quarter from Sally and Alice meant we were able to get the ball back down the court from the backline pass. We managed to score the most goals in this quarter, with some great shooting from Gayle and our new recruit Vicky.

We came back in the third quarter knowing that a win was unlikely but determined to get half of HSBC's score. Communication on court seemed improve in this quarter, however loopy passes and loose balls not being chased meant that the other team all too often managed to intercept the play.

Overall it was very disappointing for us not to come away with a point highlighting a number of things for the team to work on such as running onto the ball more and using both hands to intercept. Above all we really need to train together as a team.

However... It wasn't all bad, at post match brunch we witnessed a marriage proposal at South London's premier romantic hot spot...The Exhibit!
