WNC E -v- All Stars B: 32-20 (by Erin)

We went into the last game of the season knowing we were already demoted, but still wanted to put in a good performance against a feisty AllStars team.

We got off to a good start in the first two quarters and finished only slightly behind and very much in the match. Defence was solid from Sally, Lauren and Kerry and they managed to make a number of turnovers. Daisy and Fran worked well together feeding the ball into the shooting circle, and chances were put away well, particularly by Vicky.

However, we fell apart in the third quarter, and AllStars pulled ahead very quickly. They quickly converted their centre passes, whilst we struggled to make the most of any opportunities with silly errors and rushed play.

We changed things around for the final quarter (with Lauren making her debut at centre!) but it was too little too late and AllStars secured the victory. It was disappointing to end the season on a loss, but as with many of our matches towards the end of the season, we showed some moments of really good play but just need to be more consistent.

Great work to Fran on her POM and special mention to Kerry, who was playing her final league game for Wandsworth. We'll miss you!
