Wandsworth E vs. HS C - 38-23 (by Helen)

Another great win for Wandsworth E this weekend. After enjoying a pre match brunch at the Exhibit (sadly no scrambled eggs for Daisy) we ventured out to Shirley for a 2pm game.

With 8 players and no injury we felt confident that we had a strong line up and the first quarter did not disappoint. With Daisy was as strong as ever in the centre court and Bec feeding the ball down the court and we were putting the other team under pressure. We were playing the ball hard and strong but this resulted in us making silly mistakes and being pulled up for contact and distance numerous times.

Second quarter we relaxed a bit more and continued with a strong lead of 22-12. Lucy was flying out of nowhere and putting huge pressure on the attack as well as Amy and Harriet who were keeping players out of the game and bringing the ball down to our end.

With some small changes on court and with Steph's shooting worthy of England Netball we finished the 3rd quarter up by 33-21. We were hoping to finish the 4th quarter and not let them get half however in classic Wandsworth E style we dipped our heads and let them get one to many goals in. No fear as we still won by a healthy 38-23. A SUPER HUGE FANTASTIC well done to Erin who get well deserved POM.
