We arrived at SHS to find some very wet courts , so during the warm up a certain player decieded to lend a hand and try and mop up some of the excess water by rolling around on the floor, her efforts proved pointless when 5 minutes later the sun burst though the clouds.
Assuming that this was going to be one of the hardest matches in this league we started cautiously, making sure we got the basics right and working the ball up the court. This steady start saw us 7-4 ahead at the end of the 1st quarter.
In the 2nd we started to settle into the game , Erin at GK scooped up several rebounds, which were converted at the other end by Steph who had really got her eye in. We came off at half time still ahead 16-11, but not with the goal difference we deserved.
A quick half time talk form Daisy, our captain had us all rearing to go and show Demonettes just how good we were. In the 3rd quarter we completely dominated the court. The defence turing over countless ball and the attack working the ball seamlessly into the circle, where our player of the match, Hannah, couldn't miss! We came off with an impressive lead, 32-14.
In the final quarter Demonettes heads had dropped and they let their frustrations show. At some points their game resembled more rugby then netball. We continued to try and play our game and remain disciplined, although at some points this proved difficult. At the end we walked away with a brilliant 45-23 win!
