Another cracking win for the As this week.
Some seriously impressive defensive work for the whole game, breaking down the nervous shooting pair of Nuns. Rebound-extraordinaire Elka meant we got a huge amount turnovers, whilst Claire barely let the GA get any ball time up and down the court.
After realising that Hannah would be the best person to go up against their bully of a GK, she and Bex started to work around the circle beautifully. Some inventive and exciting play, not only using Jen and Cara in some lovely 1/2s (which even further annoyed the already rattled Nuns defense), but also some perfectly placed long balls in to the D from Laura Mc.
Despite the sucky weather, we played precise netball with barely any unforced errors. Our zone defence allowed for some flying intercepts from Holly and Cara throughout as well as a little burst of energy from Ellie in the 4th quarter. Good game girls.
