It was an early start for the C's with our 9.30 home game against Warren A. An overall good performance with some great passages of play just lacking some consistency at some points throughout the game.

We went out in the first quarter and took a few minutes to warm up giving Warren the chance to put a few goals on us. There was some great interplay with Livvi and Mel in the circle and we were going goal for goal for the rest of the quarter. It ended 16-11 to Warren with their shooters getting almost of all their shots in.

We managed to pull a few goals back in the second quarter with Erin and Fiona capitalising on missed shots and picking up some key interceptions. Great shooting percentages from Livvi and Mel again - 23-20 to Warren.

Half time saw some changes and Marelise having gone to centre in the last quarter gave us some fresh combinations to work with. Some good passages of play in this quarter and we managed to turn the ball over a few times but couldn't capitalise on all of them saw us back to a score of 35-29.

The last quarter we were determined to get the win and it started really well getting it back to a one goal game. The defence of Erin and Fiona in the circle and Maxine at WD managed to get lots of turnover ball but Warren still went on a run to push the deficit back out to 5 again. A dramatic ending to the game with Erin taking a fall and having a lot of bumps and bruises it finished 45-40 to Warren.

POM was Maxine with some great interceptions and bringing the ball up the court and Erin got players player.

Some great bits of play and good shooting for us, just missed out on the win but lots of promising play for us to work on in training!
