Quarter 1 began and we were aware HSBC were a team to be reckoned with, aggressive in nature we knew we had to stand our ground. The game was goal for goal but HSBC utilised a couple of forced errors and finish 14-11 up.

Q2 we were determined to pull it back and everyone fought tirelessly. Erin and Fiona made hard work for HSBCs shooters, tipping numerous balls, allowing for Becky, Marelise and Max to carry the ball quickly and carefully up to our own shooters, Mel and Livvi. Both had their eye in, netting goal after goal brining the score closer and finishing 24-5 down.

A strong half time team talk and we were more determined than ever. Control and discipline were key in not giving the ball away, some exceptional interceptions, very nifty attacking play and goals flying through the net one after another meant we took the lead and finished the quarter a solid 40-35 up.

Time for the final quarter, with HSBC only 5 down we knew they could easily pull back. A shaky start to the quarter with some rogue passing and strictly style footwork was not what we wanted. But with fresh legs on the court and commitment to the win we were more focused than ever. Maddie drove strong on our centre passes to ensure possession remained ours and every opportunity to turn the ball over we utilised. We used the last quarter to really capitalise on our lead finishing 52-42.
