We arrived to a very cold SHS wrapped up in as many layers as we could manage ready to face Portas B who are slightly below us in the league.

Trying to ignore the frostbite beginning to set in we stepped out on court determined to have positive start. We have a history of being a little slow in the first quarter, and although there were moments of brilliance we came off at the end ahead, 8-2, but knowing we could step up a gear.

The next quarter saw us start to dominate in the centre and our attacking end with Fran and Daisy both feeding the ball beautifully into the circle. At half time we were still in ahead, but deserved to have a bigger lead, 16-12.

In the third quarter we really started to play as a team and all of our training started to pay off on court. Laura and Dami in defence were all over the opposition shooter, making countless interceptions and gravity defying leans. We finished this quarter with a far more comfortable lead, 26-15.

In the final quarter we took advantage of our superior fitness (even though we had no reserves). Hannah and Izzy ran rings around there defence, which lead to some interesting improvised moves form the GK.

The final score was 32-21. Another great win!!
