The Ds were looking to continue their winning streak this weekend with an afternoon match against Saints.
We kicked off the game well and Wandsworth fought hard with some vital goals from Gayle and Becky leaving it at 17-5.
In the second quarter we continued in the same fashion and Wandsworth still kept up the pace with some good play up the court and feeds into the D from Anna and Liv. The second quarter ended 33-12.
In the third quarter Lauren fell on her ankle after just too many interceptions and this left Syan fending off their attack single handedly with some great tips! However, Wandsworth still managed to continue their lead with the third quarter ending 47-21.
In the fourth quarter we had to go in with 6 players, putting Gayle into defence (a position she’s secretly very good at) and Fran having a shot (quite literally) at GA. The fact that we only had 6 players didn’t stop us from continuing to score as Becky was popping in some amazing shots! The final score ended 63-30.
