Q1 12-10
Despite having just 7 players for our first game of 2018, we were determined to continue with our winning streak from just before Christmas. The first quarter got off to a good start for both teams, with some consistent play throughout the court both sides managed to convert their centre passes, however with some good interceptions in defence we were able to turn over a couple of the balls ending the first quarter two goals up.

Q2 21-21
The first 5 minutes of the second quarter were quite simply rubbish on our behalf, with too many unforced errors Chequers took advantage and scored 4 goals on the trot. We then found our feet and fought back to end the first half 21 all.

Q3 35-30
Continuing with our momentum from the end of the second quarter, we managed to turn over the ball a few times with some cracking interceptions from Amy at WD and some great shooting from Hannah in the D ending the third quarter five goals up.

Q4 46-44
As with the rest of the game, the final quarter was very close with both teams fighting for every ball. The pressure was mounting towards the end of the game as we let our lead slip a little and Chequers' GS just wouldn't miss. Determined not to lose the game, we didn't give up and won the match 46-44. An exciting first game back after Christmas!
