Wandsworth D vs. HSBC 32-69 (by Bridget)

Having faced HSBC last week it was a straight rematch and we were determined to get the better of them this time. Becky was back with a vengeance and not to be deterred from her injuries last week. We took a little time to settle but stayed in touch and the first quarter ended 12-6.

With a switch in centre court we began to bring the ball down well and the game flowed in places much better. The shooters were on point and we were picking off balls left, right and centre. But consistency was our issue and we were prone to giving away turnovers through small errors or poor passes. We started a little high up the court and moved that bit too early which left crucial gaps.

Emma and Erin battled well in the circle and doubled up on the GS. This switch up worked well and they continued to get tips and put their attackers off.

Unfortunately, our efforts weren’t quite enough and it ended up being a pretty hefty score line at 69-32. Despite this, we fought hard and had some excellent moments - we just need to work on stringing that together the whole way through!

Massive shout out to Andy who made the supporters journey despite being injured.
