Wandsworth D vs. Warren B: 48-33 (by Fiona)

It was a late start at Shirley for the Ds against Warren B. We were hopeful for a win, a feat which has proved rather elusive to us this season!

We started off a wee bit sluggish but managed to pull it together enough to edge ahead at 7-9. Throughout the second quarter we got our wits about us and pulled ahead thanks to some flying interceptions down the court in defence.

We started the second half strong and only got stronger as the game went on. With a focus on bringing it down the court in a controlled way, we maintained our lead finishing quarter three 33-27. As the sun set on our game, both literally and metaphorically, we saw some fantastic shooting, cracking mid court play and dynamic defence leading us to a final score of 48-33. POM was Hannah with her swishing shots and players play was Lauren for her gravity-defying interceptions.
