Wandsworth D vs. Lifeline A: 40-31 (by Lauren)

After our win last week and plenty of fresh legs, we felt confident going into the game. In true Wandsworth D style, we had a very slow first quarter, taking our time to get into our flow and allowing Lifeline to set the pace- which happened to be painfully slow...!
At half time it was far closer than we wanted it to be, with only a goal in it at 17-18 to us. We knew we were the better team and this definitely wasn't a game we were willing to give away!!
A few loopy balls and some questionable decisions from the umpires meant despite some great turnovers and everyone giving their all, we finished the third quarter with the score still a bit close for comfort at 24-26 to us.
We came out fighting in the final quarter and definitely proved ourselves to be the fitter team- Lifeline began to lag behind, finishing the game at 40-31!
A great game for everyone, but particularly Hannah with her unbelievable shooting and Andy absolutely smashing her WD debut and still sinking shots when playing GA!
