WNC E vs Selsdon - 58-12

The sun was out for our first game of the season. A thorough warm-up meant that we started the first quarter strong. Excellent shooting from Hannah and Tennessee meant that we lead after the first quarter 14-3.

In the second quarter we focussed on safe passes and the great support around the circle from Kim and Daisy helped us to increase our lead and we finished at half time up 35-5.

Unfortunately we got a bit sloppy in the third quarter and while Mei and Anna made some fantastic interceptions, we then threw the ball away by not taking our time and resetting our positions. We ended the third quarter 45-9.

We were determined to take our time in the final quarter. And Catherine and Kirsty in particular helped us settle down by bringing the ball down the court from defence. Final score was 58-12. Good game, especially for the first of the season, but we need to work on our counter-attack.
