WNC E vs Roundwood E - 38-27 (by Nat P)

On a wet, windy and cold day in Shirley the E's were up against a youthful Roundwood.
The first quarter with a player down was tough, their shooters were confident and we were making mistakes that can't be excused for playing with 6.

Near the end of the second quarter, with a full team, we gained some momentum and closed the gap, Daisy and Kim playing strong down mid court and keeping possession.

After a half time pep talk we went into the third quarter with some key aims - shorter passes, slower pace, defensive pressure.
Despite still making some silly mistakes - turning on the ball, risky passes, penalties - the defensive pressure from all players forced Roundwood to give away a lot of penalties. Back in her favoured position, Alice provided great support in getting the ball moving nicely down the court. With consistent shooting again from Hannah and Helen and some good interceptions from Harriet and Nat in defence, we ended on a win, only allowing Roundwood to score 5 goals in the last 30 mins. 38-27 final score.
