WNC E vs HS D - 43 - 24 (by Mei)

We woke up bright and early to face a young team that was a few places below us on the CNL ladder.

Having beaten them before we knew that we could do it again, however it quickly became evident that we needed to work for the win. We started sluggishly, giving away the ball on a number of occasions, resulting in us being 9-12 down at quarter time.

Luckily, after a good team pep talk at the change of quarters, we started to turn things around. Our passes were more accurate, and Kim was quick in moving the ball down the court. Nat and Catherine defended strongly, initiating turnovers from HS D and then getting the ball out of the defensive third.

As the match progressed, we pulled further ahead. We saw some amazing goals from Hannah and Helen who moved well around their defenders to shoot goals from different areas of the goal circle. Meanwhile, Daisy, Mei and Kirsty made some key intercepts at mid court, assisting in keeping the ball in our attacking zone for the majority of the third and fourth quarters.

Well done in turning things around girls - and particularly to our PoM - Daisy!
