WNC E vs United B - 35-28 (by Daisy)

After an absolute nightmare of all East Croydon trains being cancelled due to an incident and then a mad rush to find lifts for everyone, we made it onto the court with about a minute to spare (phew!). With our warm up consisting of our run from the Shirley car park it took a little while for us to settle into the game but still took the quarter 9-4 thanks to the shooting skills of Helen and Steph.

Q2 we worked on settling down into our game and our defence of Nat, Harriet and Amy worked hard on putting the pressure on United to good success as we pulled further in front.

Q3 saw Kim and Daisy try to use the D more to ensure we weren't rushing the ball into the shooters. The extra pass meant we kept the possession and further extended our lead thanks to Hannah and Steph converting well.
In Q4 United started to pull it back a bit and some silly errors crept in from our side but we knew that the game was ours. We ended up winning 35-28 against quite a feisty United team. Well done ladies!

Going into next weeks key match against the D's (we have to win so that the E's will get promoted as well as the D's) we need to make sure we are switched on from the 1st whistle, don't rush the ball into the D and keep the silly errors to an absolute minimum. We can do it ladies!!!
