After a frantic morning trying to find 7 players we turned up with plenty of time to warm up and discuss the new team line up. Omega started strong but shooters Steph and Helen got their eye in straight away for us to come away 5 up after the first quarter.
Adjusting to playing indoors and on an incredibly slippey floor lead to a large amount of footwork from both teams leading to a fast paced game with us slightly reducing our lead going into half time.
The third quarter stayed pretty close with Omega keeping the pressure on us throughout. A lot of turnovers and interceptions lead to us getting fairly over excited with the overhead balls into the circle which didn’t quite work due to their strong defence meaning the score line stayed close going into the final quarter.
With Omega tiring towards the end of the game we managed to stay strong until the end to finish with a higher score line than the game suggested.
